Bowyers Stream Again

It's not good enough!

Once again Ecan have been impacting on the values of Bowyers Stream in Mid Canterbury, in the name of flood control works Ecan routinely put heavy machiney into work in this small stream with the resulting impact on the stream ecology and fishery - as pictured below;

Now on 4 or 5 occasions Ecan have interfered with this area (what used to be a pool)

Reports also indicate significant willow felling into the stream, this it the practice of layering, were the trees are cut in the hope they will take root and provide stablisation of the river bank.
